Carly's Journey
If You Cannot Hear God, Read God

I started reading the Bible all the way through and have finally reached Hosea. I never thought that I would be able to do this because I had tried to many times before and failed. As I have been going through the pages I couldn’t believe what I was reading, everything was so real, clear and made so much sense. It was like blinders were falling off my eyes and I was seeing the truth for the first time.  Some of those stories burn in my heart as we speak. It’s like God speaks right to you through the paper and the Words come alive in your heart. They are real and living because the Spirit of God rest on them. There were times I would read for hours and would literally not be able to stand up afterward because I felt the Spirit of The Lord resting heavily upon me, talk about joy, that’s tremendous joy. Other times I found myself laughing hysterically, crying, getting angry and getting much needed revelation simply through the story line.

Some of the things I have learned to know have really helped me in my walk with the Lord. I know that God has been the central theme in all of creation. I know that He waits till the last minute to carry out His plans because His plans require faith. I know that fear is not of God and His perfect love cast out fear. I know that God loves us and likes us. I know that God is not just looking for children but He is looking for a friend, someone to share His heart with. I know that God is real and He sits on the throne and Jesus is at His right hand. I also know that God loves the sinner, jealously loves the sinner but hates the sin. I know that God wants to be our father, even if our father and mother forsake us, God will never forsake us. I know that He actually wants to take care of us and does not want us to worry. I know that He remains faithful even when we do not. I know that if He said it, He will do it

Previously before reading I could have quoted all of these things but now I know.

I want to encourage you to keep reading your Bible because it is God’s living and breathing Word that speaks to us. I once heard a man say, if you cannot hear God, read God, and it is so true.

GIVING UNTO THE LORD….
For the past several months to a year God had been speaking to me about giving, not only speaking, but changing my heart so that I would want to give. I will say that I gave pretty regularly prior to His speaking and even during it, but I didn’t give back to God out of a cheerful and loving heart. I gave back to God because I was scared of what He would do to me or what I would do to myself by “cursing” my income. Malachi 3:11 says “I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty.” So in my eyes I was thinking, if I don’t give then God won’t rebuke “the devour” and the things of this life would come and swallow up my income.  Well we all know that God doesn’t deal with us according to my negative thinking but that goes to show you how I needed to renew my mind in that area.
One Sunday in November I felt the Lord tell me to attend a church I previously had not cared for. I decided to listen to the Lord and to my surprise the message was about gratitude and giving. I was so ecstatic because it was something I had wanted to understand more about.  I said, Thank You Lord this is what I needed. Then to my surprise AGAIN, they were having a guest speaking and that guest speaker was Pastor Robert Morris (a pastor that I watched on TV several times and had thoroughly enjoyed)!!!!!! Wow God, what a treat, Thank You so much!
This message about giving was not “what can I give God in order to get back”. It was not a message that satisfied the desires of our sinful nature by ways to acquire more wealth or filled us with anger thinking that the ministers wanted more money. It was a simple message about the Gospel and the truth of God’s word regarding our income and gratitude towards Him. It spoke volumes to me and gave me so much life. Some of the understanding I got from the message is below.
The Lord blesses things after He puts them in order. In Exodus 13 God said to Moses, “Dedicate to me everything firstborn among the Israelites. The first offspring to be born, of both humans and animals belong to me”.  This is one of God’s principles and when we live by God’s principles we cannot help but  be blessed. It is God’s perfect and pleasing will that we operate in the things of His Kingdom and His Word. When God is placed FIRST in your lives then everything falls into that perfect order we were previously speaking about. When we try and seek “things” apart from God being placed first then we unknowing put everything in our lives out of order. God telling Moses to dedicate all the firstborn to Him (because it belongs to Him) was not only a symbol of our outward man giving God the preeminence but also a sincere sacrifice unto God.
The beautiful thing about the Lord is He never tells us to do anything that He does not also do, Jesus is God’s sacrifice. He sacrificed His first born Son in faith. Not waiting until we were right because we weren’t but in faith because the very ones whom He gave His Son for were the ones crucifying Him to the cross. Now you might be asking what kind of Harvest is God going to reap and that is simple, through His sacrifice of His firstborn Son God is going to reap a harvest of MANY Children. For we were once not a people but through Jesus Sacrifice we are now the people of God (1 Peter 2:20).
Humanly speaking if God could give the best of Himself to us in faith then what makes us think we do not have do the same. This is God’s will for our lives and is a Kingdom principle. Now God gave us something far more valuable than money and wealth, He gave us the sinless, spotless Lamb of God who wiped away our sins and separated them as far as the east is from the west. For we were once not a people but are now the people of God. We were once far away from God because of our sins but now we are considered coheirs with Him in Christ. WOW!
Now the Lord does not require us to sacrifice our firstborns in the way He sent Jesus as a sacrifice. But God does require us to sacrifice all things in our life so that He can have the first place. By sacrificing your desires and putting God first then the rest of your life becomes in order. Proverbs 3:9 says HONOR the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops. II Corinthians 9:7 says each of you should give WHAT YOU HAVE DECIDED in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a CHEERFUL giver.
Now you might be wondering why I have I bolded honor, what you have decided and cheerful. Well the answer is easy. When we sacrifice to the Lord we give to Him because we are honoring what He has given to us. That makes giving a cheerful act. If you are truly thankful for the sacrifice God gave you then you can honor Him in many ways but one of which is giving back. This message had struck so deep  within my heart because I knew that was what I was lacking. I wasn’t giving cheerfully but was giving out of necessity and with a reluctant heart. I wasn’t giving out of my gratitude for Jesus and my love for our Savior but out of fear. Whatever you purpose in your heart to give in Honor of God’s sacrifice God will receive it with open arms. And the reason we have to give in faith is because we might think about all the other things that money can go for. Surely God would not have you give your first fruits if it’ll leave you broke but God doesn’t say that. In fact He says that if you give Him the first place and honor Him with the first part of your income and wealth then HE WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU. You don’t have to worry about the things the rest of the world worries about, what you will eat or drink or what you will wear. Your Heavenly Father already knows what you need and when you seek FIRST His Kingdom all these things will be added to you. (Mathew 6:33).
I believe God Honors us when we honor Him first. And we don’t honor Him because of what He can give us. We honor the Lord because He is worthy or all praise Honor and glory, now and forever amen! We honor and worship God because of what He has done for us and even though His promises ensure we will be taken care that gives us all the more reason to Glorify our God, not to seek the provision! Woooooowhooo! Thank You Jesus, Thank You Lord!

I believe God honors us when we give Him the first place. Not second, third or fourth. We can liken this message to any area of our lives not just money and wealth. This can be likened to the first place in our relationships, in our schooling, in our work, in our families and in our friendships. When we give God the first place He will honor our unions and they will be placed in order. The beauty of it all is that we get to have strong fellowship with our Creator in all these areas. Isn’t He just WORTHY? MMMM mmmm MMM!

Testimony:
So after hearing this message I purposed in my heart that I would give God the first 10% of all of my income. I didn’t care if that meant I would not have food to eat or if my rent or bills wouldn’t be paid. I was just going to give no matter what! Now, even though I purposed that in my heart I also knew that God would make a way for all of those things NOT to happen. I could have faith in this because it is in His Word that when we put Him first all those things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33).
After a month or so of giving cheerfully I did not see anything different. I did not care, I was so happy to show my gratitude towards Jesus who saved me from hell death and the grave, Not to mention, Scripture tells us that we reap what we sow, more then we sow it and later than we sow.
As surely as the Lord lives from that day until now I have continually had so much income and wealth come in that I had to open additional savings accounts in order to keep track of it. All, I mean ALL if my bills and rent have been supernaturally provided form. Even to point where the exact dollar amount had been placed into my account the day it was due from an unexpected source.  God didn’t just bring me to a point of living just to get by but enabled me to receive greater opportunities for increasing my income. Through the months God has overly and abundantly blessed me to the point that I could take no credit for my accomplishments, it was just too many and too often for it to be anything I could have done myself.
I was very reluctant to write this message because of the ungodly prosperity message that has infiltrated the body. I want to be clear that the only thing that will satisfy you in life is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. No amount of money, income, wealth or relationship will fulfill you the way the Lord Jesus can. The Lord also began to give me distaste for the gifts and wealth I was receiving. Not an ungrateful attitude but just an understanding that these things are not my happiness but that The Lord who gave them was. Before sharing my testimony I also wanted to continue walking in it for some time to ensure it was from the Lord. It wasn’t until recently that I realized all these blessings were too profound and happening too often that I realized it was truly from God! Isn’t He good saints! Lets’s praise His name for who He is!

Jenny’s Baptism 😇🙌🙏👏
“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.” (Rom. 6:5)

First Place

When you put God first everything falls into place. God says yes to us before we even know what being a Child of God means. As our minds begin to get renewed we learn things about ourselves that can be absolutely devastating. For we once were lost but now we are found, we once were blind but not we see. When you come to this place in your relationship with God just remind yourself that He already said yes to “me”.

You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is NO other God- there never has been, and there never will be. I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other savior. Isaiah 43:10b-11

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Testimony time!
Sunday after church I went to my school library to get some much needed study time in. Not to my surprise they were closed until 1:00 p.m and at the time it was only 12:30. “Lucky” for me it was absolutely beautiful outside. I was able to sit in my car and read with the windows rolled down. As I’m sitting there I get this revelation on how I should listen out for what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to me right now.
John 10:17 my sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.
Lately I had been feeling this tug in my spirit to listen to what the Spirit of God speaking to me. Sermons or messages, vessels of the Lord and the Word of God help us discern God’s voice, but we also know that God through a still small voice can speak DIRECTLY to our spirit and give us insight, wisdom and a Word to follow.
Kings 19:11-12 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
So I quiet myself and listen with all pretenses behind. After a few seconds I received a revelation (supernatural wisdom and understanding that is absolute in clarity) that I should go to Panera Bread. I said, sure I’ll go, you know I’m hungry anyways J
I didn’t really think of the consequences to going to Panera Bread until I got there, and by consequences I mean paying $9 for a meal that I wasn’t going to get full from. As I’m standing in line thinking of the cheapest thing I could get I had this thought that I should just leave, why would the Lord have me pay $9 for a meal that I’m not even going to get full from. A second later I had another thought, “No, the Lord told me to come here so if nothing else I will stay and enjoy this expensive meal” J
I decided to go with the Asiago bagel with cream cheese and a cherry cream cheese pastry. Mmm mm mm and it was only $5, can I get an amen!
Any who, the nice young lady at the register takes my order then turns around to toast my bagel. As I’m snapping my feet and vibing to the elevator music in Panera she turns back to me with a look of sadness on her face to tell, she tells me “another cashier sold the last asiago bagel”
Me:  “its okay it’s not a big deal, I’ll just take the sweet onion”.
Cashier:  “Can I give you another free bagel because we didn’t have the one you wanted”.
Me: (pausing so I didn’t say YES too fast) “sure, wow thanks, can I have the cinnamon crunch”
Cashier: “Have you tried our new cherry bagel its really good”
Me: “no that sounds really good but I already have the cherry pastry so I’ll just take the cinnamon crunch”
Cashier: “Okay” (smiling).
The cashier hands me the bag and I head back to the Library. As I’m driving I was totally in shock that I didn’t pay $9 like I normally do and I got a free bagel woooowhooo! As I get to a comfortable seat I pull the food out of my bag and I find THREE bagels, cherry, cinnamon and the sweet onion that I ordered!!! Not to mention the pastry! So after listening to the voice of the Lord and following His leading through FAITH, I was able to get MORE food and spend LESS money than I ever had before at Panera! Isn’t God so good, it’s like He showed me that it really was Him speaking to me and gave me a taste of what it is like to listen to Him through faith. Ahhhhh, He is so lovely J
Some of you might be thinking, well I don’t hear the voice of the Lord you must be special or have an anointing for that. Not true, the Word of God says “My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me” John 10:17. If you are not experiencing hearing God’s voice there might be a number of different things going one. Some of which I can name for you know.
1.       Sin separates us from God – Even as believers we can be living a life in sin and it totally takes us away from hearing God’s voice. How so?
          a.       God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from sin. I John 1:5-7.
2.       Sin blinds us from seeing the truth.
          a.     Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. II Corinthians 4:4
3.       We are too distracted with the things of this world (money, work, religion, goals, aspirations, relationships, kids, marriage, and school) to listen for God’s speaking.
a.       Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? The farmer sows the word. Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Mark 4:13-19

Did you notice how the seed (Word of God) was planted on all types of soil! But the soil with thorns among them represented (people who have the worries of this life) choked the Word in their life and it bore no fruit.
You see God is not mad at you. He isn’t refraining His voice from your life or trying to make you struggle. A lot of the times it is our own short coming that separate us from God and stop us from having a deep intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Good News is, we can have forgiveness for our sins by the Blood of Jesus AND the power from His resurrection to keep us on the right path. Everything you need can be found in Jesus.
1 John 1:8-10 says f we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
So you see it is truly amazing, simple and easy to walk in fellowship with God. We just have to stop playing games with Him by benig open and honest about our sin. We have to ask Him to forgive us and truly mean it. To repent means to turn from what you are doing and walk towards God. Since we are ALL sinners saved by grace there is no sin greater than another, but ALL sins need to be cleansed by Jesus blood to make us righteous in His sight! By saying to God you recognize you are a sinner and that His blood is the only thing that can bring you into fellowship with God means you recognize Jesus Christ as your Savior. Not only will He save you from hell, death and the grave but He will also save you from the unnecessary trails of this life. Walking in close fellowship with God is the single most ultimate decision you will ever make in your life. You can do this with a simple prayer to come back to Christ or invite Him in for the first time. Jesus say’s if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God you will be saved.
Prayer:
esus I believe you came from Heaven to this earth as a man 2000 years ago to be a sacrifice for my sins. I believe you who knew no sin because sin so that I might become the righteousness of God. I believe you were crucified on a cross to save me and that you were buried and rose from the grace on the third day. I believe You are seated at the right hand of God in Heaven. I invite you into my heart at my personal Savior and King. I invite you into my heart to be my friend, redeemer and confidant. I ask that you cleanse me from my sins, past present and future and that Your Holy Spirit dwell on the inside of me. All of these things I ask in Your name. Amen.
Now if you said that prayer for the first time or did it to rededicate your life to Christ I want you to know all of Heaven is rejoicing over you right now. The Bible says, even when one soul is saved all of Heaven rejoices. I also want you to know that God’s Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you and will be talking to you from now on!! If you ever feel as disconnect, plead the blood of Jesus over you again and listen. I want to encourage you to read you Word and get into a good Bible teaching and believing church. By doing these things you will strengthen your relationship with Christ and come to know Him for yourself.
am so thankful you were able to read my post. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you. May He give you His children, His peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

For my friend!

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

We are not perfect, nor should we claim to be. However, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God is perfect and He took away our sins by shedding His blood on the cross. He made it so that we could all have our sins forgiven by trading our punishment for His righteousness. Not only are our sins forgiven but by the power of the Holy Spirit when Jesus rose from the grace He made it so we could rise with Him! Glory unto Him who is faithful, matchless and worthy of all praise, now and forevermore!!
It brings me to tears of excitement and joy to be called a child of God because of what Christ did on the cross. Escaping death alone by having our sins forgiven would have been enough but God did MUCH MORE. He made us into the likeness and image of His Son and promised us rights as His Children. Wooo! That’s deep, to be a daughter of the Most High God! That’s why the Scriptures say, if God be for you who could ever be against you. He made everything and ALL things are under His feet. So if God is for you then you could literally laugh at whoever rises against you.
You can even laugh at the desires of your flesh and the enemies condemnation about those desires because God disarmed all the powers of the enemy when He died on the cross and rose back to life on the third day!
We can laugh at the future without fear like the Proverbs 31 women because we have God, the maker of the universe, the one who made the heaven, the earth and all things in them!
Don’t let the enemy condemn you for such sins you fall into. Gods children do not make a PRACTICE of living in sin. In fact, those who make a conscientious practice of living in sin, enjoy it and find it acceptable actual show that the truth is not in them and that they don’t truly know God or His nature.
God’s children literally CANNOT make a PRACTICE of living in sin because their God conscious is always calling on them to do what is right. It’s very hard to truly know God and love Him with all your heart and still sin like the rest of the world, the ones who don’t know God.
The difference in a believer falling is that he gets back up again, he repents and turns to God and that sin has absolutely NO control over him. There is no such condemnation for that sin because God has forgiven you! His blood has washed you clean and our Heavenly Father remembers then no more. The unbeliever who sins finds it enjoyable, they don’t think to turn to God and have no understanding of what is truly right and truly wrong. The amazing news about them is God is still working so continue to pray!
But I say all this because I use to let myself be condemned for hours after committing sin. Once I gave my life to Christ I automatically thought I was going to be perfect. I hit rock bottom when I realized I still needed work. I had made a practice in life of certain wrong behaviors and when the situations presented themselves my flesh would automatically give in. Then I would feel condemned and think, a child of God shouldn’t do those things.
At the time I didn’t realize Gods love for me was unconditional. He loved me when I was deep in sin and how much more does He love me now that I walk in the light. Well I didn’t think that way! I thought all wrong but all that really happened was that God opened my eyes when I came to Him and showed me what I was doing all along. Nothing was new, I had been gossiping the same amount and telling white lies here and there but didn’t realize how bad it was until then.
God then took me on a path to disarm those sins and desires, gather a preference for Him and enjoy doing the right things. It took time and it’s still going on today!
This is why I say don’t allow yourself to be condemned if you truly are trying to do the right things. Keep pressing in towards the mark, Christ Jesus! He who began a good work in you is faithful and just to complete it! He might show you some things about yourself you won’t like but don’t take that as if He’s saying He doesn’t life you. God loves you unconditionally! Remember that! He loved you when you were dead in sin and now that you have accepted Him, He loves you even more!

Love always,
CM

Verse of the day:

Anyone who continues to live in Him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who He is 1 John 3:6…

This verse stood out to me because it says if you continue living in sin then that means you don’t really understand the true nature of God. The devil tries so hard to make people think the Gospel is boring or that religion is for weak people. Please Don’t be fooled. Making Jesus Christ Lord over your life will the best decision you can ever make in my whole life. You see, the whole purpose we were created was to know God, and have a relationship with Him. that void in our hearts that we try so desperately to fill with materials, drugs, friends or relationships will never be filled until you Know Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You’ll always feel that discontentment and frustration which will cause you to look forward, sometimes not to the right things. But Look no further because Jesus is standing right next to you.
He has the power to destroy every burden, every yoke, ever evil desire every wrong motivation. And when it’s all gone and out of you, all that remains is fruits of the Spirit, Love, Peace, Joy, Forgiveness, Righteousness, Self-Control, Gentleness and did I say LOVE. It is truly awesome actually!
If you don’t feel as strongly about Christ as me and many others feel and you still find yourself struggling with sin then ask God to show you His true nature to you. God is so cool and fun. He will make you fall straight in love with Him and you will NEVER look back at your old life. It only takes that effort of reaching out to Him.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

SIDE NOTE: I have a good friend of mine that I talked to the other day about Jesus. He said to me He believed in Jesus but wasn’t ready for salvation yet because he knew he still wanted to live in his ways. I asked his, “so if you died right now, you would be okay with going to hell for all of eternity because of one simple decision”. His response was, “I try not to think that way”. I love this person so much so the point of this story isn’t to “call people out” but this whole conversation bothered me. I even prayed to God about it and asked Him to show me why it bothered me so much.
Last night I was driving in my car and had the radio on, Charles Stanley was preaching about Jesus return and the Lord spoke to me through him. Stanley said for those of you who say you want to wait for Salvation is blaspheming against the very reason you were EVEN created!! Your pretty much telling the Creator of all things that HE’S not even worth all you, but HE can have the left overs. This is Highly disrespectful. God has done everything possible for you to receive Salvation while still allowing Him to remain God and us have our Free Will. God won’t go back and take away our free will so He presented Jesus as a pure and Holy sacrifice so that we can by choice and Faith receive Salvation.
Please don’t be foolish and think God doesn’t deserve all of you. The fact of the matter is this life is the shortest thing we will ever do and all of eternity is the longest thing we will ever do. This short life determines what our long life will look like. There is only one of two places you can go after this life and what you do now determines that. Don’t be foolish, wake up and accept Jesus as Lord. He loves you! TRULY

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

This is how Jesus Christ Himself made it through the cross, Hope. Expectto see your family members or friends again who have passed away if they were born again. Jesus went to the cross in Faith and died in Faith of being brought back to New Life and giving many a chance for New Life. Faith has your soul anchored down so deep in Christ that you will be like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved (Psalm 125:1). Faith gives us a peaceful hope that no matter what we see or feel, you still expect to see God’s Words to come pass in our lives. Faith comes by hearing the and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

I love the LORD because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath! Death wrapped its ropes around me;
the terrors of the grave overtook me.
I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD:
“Please, LORD, save me!” How kind the LORD is! How good he is!
So merciful, this God of ours! The LORD protects those of childlike faith;
I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again,
for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence
as I live here on earth! I believed in you, so I said,
“I am deeply troubled, LORD.” In my anxiety I cried out to you,
“These people are all liars!” What can I offer the LORD
for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation
and praise the LORD’s name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the LORD
in the presence of all his people. The LORD cares deeply
when his loved ones die. O LORD, I am your servant;
yes, I am your servant, born into your household;
you have freed me from my chains. I will offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving
and call on the name of the LORD. I will fulfill my vows to the LORD
in the presence of all his people— in the house of the LORD
in the heart of Jerusalem.
Praise the LORD! (Psalm 116:1-19 NLT)

Psalm 127:1-2
Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

God has called us to a life of rest. As you follow Christ what He wants to accomplish in your life will simply just happen. It’s not a matter of striving or becoming a perfectionist because His will and plan for your life was birthed before you were even born. The harder you try the worse off you become because nothing you can do can promote God’s blessing or stop it, so long as your following Him.

This act of complete trusting in The Lord has really been made known to me through my recent studies and fellowship with God. All God wants is to be trusted. When we trust God we open the door for Him to move in our lives. This act of obedience and humbling ourselves to know that God is the only one qualified to make all our decisions puts Him in the drivers seat of our destiny. Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21). This Scripture is so profound in the sense that it even tells us we make our own plans day in and day out but in the end it was the Lord’s purpose that prevailed. When we make plans to go to a certain restaurant if the Lords purpose is for us to try something else we might all of a sudden get a taste for that something else and His purpose prevails. This Scripture gives me peace in knowing that so long as I follow Him and am open to hearing His voice His purpose for me will always come about. That alone gives my mind peace and comfort in Him.

When we read the original Scripture Psalm 127:1-2 we see that unless The Lord builds something then we as workers labor in vain. Complete trust in Christ is just knowing that He is in absolute complete control over everything. It’s not up to us to build strong relationships accompanied with worry or striving because God is good at keeping in front of you what He wants for you. God not only will keep it there but He will bring it back if it does happen to get lost and give you peace about mending it. He will always be faithful and He will make known what is from HIM and what is not. So don’t worry about striving over these relationships. God will place in front of you what is from Him and it will be accompanied with peace and goodness.

God opens doors that no man can shut [Revelation 3:8] and with that being said we should just receive everything He has given us (good or bad) with open arms. His purpose is wrapped in it, maybe not always in a pretty package but it is there. It takes complete trusting in Him and knowing that His plan will prevail.

1 Corinthians 7:15
But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.

This Scripture is talking about a married couple where one is a believer and one is not. It is saying that if the unbeliever wants to stay then God calls us to stay with them, and perhaps our good conduct will convert them to knowing the truth. However, if the unbeliever wants to leave then let them leave because God calls us to live in peace and not be bound to such circumstances.

I talk about relationships mainly because in times past I wasn’t always the best at keeping good, strong and lasting ones. Through my experiences with living in Christ and Him in me I have learned so much. He has taught me to learn to persevere, forgive and move on. All these wonderful things Christ has bestowed upon me when I was the one leaving Him, blaming Him, not forgiving Him (even though He never sinned) and keeping my eyes away from Him. Jesus Christ stayed with me through everything, He loved me and kept His eyes right on me. He was my protection and friend when I had no friends. He was there for me through every blasphemy, lie and times of living in the flesh. And instead of condemning me He chose to love me and forgive me. When I think of all Jesus has done for me sometimes I can’t take it smh He is so good! amen! He has shone me real love and not that I loved Him but that He loved me first and gave Himself up for me.

Through my relationship with Christ I have learned a lot about relationships and this is what i know is true.

1) you cannot have a relationship with other people if you do not have a relationship with God. He is the author of life. His very being is LOVE and if you don’t know God you don’t know love and therefore cannot give or receive love in it’s purest form

2) God calls us to persevere through the good and the bad. To make a long lasting relationship work you have to stay in the relationship.

3) forgiveness is not an option it’s a way of life. God has never left you nor forsake you and He does that because He chooses to act in forgiveness. Never remembering your sins against Him anymore. That is why He is called faithful and true

4) Being faithful is such a key expression of love. Spending time with Him who is faithful makes you become more and more like Him. Everyone wants to be loved by those that love them back. And when you are faithful over little things you will be faithful over much!

5) Be content when The Lord gives and takes away. Just like this married couple in Corinthians, if someone wants to leave, God says let them leave. You cannot control anyone’s actions just as no one can control yours. When people leave you consider it all joy because you’re walking in the countenance of God and they just can’t handle it. Or it’s just time for them to leave. When you focus on the past nothing goes right. God doesn’t call us to live in such a way. Consider it all joy when you go through various trials my dear brethren because we know the testing of your faith produces perseverance and perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything [James 1:3-4].

So I know this blog was very random but God is good and sits on the Throne. Be blessed and grace and peace to you all!
